Are you a Brown-Noser?

A new article appeared in USA Today discussing the draw backs and potential gains of sucking up to your boss.  In this market when every employee is worried about keeping their job, is it ok to suck up to the boss?  The article describes some of the ways to be polite and offer up a genuine compliment, and what tends to be taken as over the top sucking up.  Of the 22 current and former CEOs interviews, 20 said "that employees should complement the boss if they are sincere about it".

 

Do you feel as though behaving like Dwight (the famous brown-noser from NBC's "The Office") is something that should be done?
